What's this?

An imprint of a rubber stamp cop was accidentally found behind a black & white photograph among a pile of unwanted old papers. Almost unreadable yet still visible curiosity takes its course. Naturally  one has to be acquisitive rather than simply inquisitive especially when one's name is mentioned in a find! A question popped up. "What's this?" Tania asked. It's a good question needing an equally good answer. I therefore propose to volunteer my time to recal to memory the main aspects of works done by the TANGIT NATIVE CONTRACTOR owned  by Ketua Kampung Emmanuel Tangit Kinajil. The setting of this recall was a few decades ago.
His contracting work experiences started with the subcontract works in the initial building of the Kasigui-Madsizang road during the no-no 50/60 era. No machines, the like of earthmoving equipments, were then in sight. The earth road works was worked simply by manual works using changkols and animals and people. The secret to the success of the works completions is in the crowd of people working. This man had the crowd and he was the envy of the other subcontract contenders. That was in the past. Then there came following the Malaysia development awakening era. Development allocations were managed by the District Office of which the district officer is the pivotal player.
Over a long period of time the following works were successfully executed to the satisfaction of the people in authority concerned.
Supplying Works
1. The extracting and supply of river stones to a main contract holder supplying stones for the airport construction.
Earth Road & Gravel Road Construction
1. The stretch from the Maternity Home to Kg. Penampang, via Kg. Kambau;
2. The stretch from Pekan Inamam main road roundabout to Kg. Laut.
3. Repair to an existing earth road and the construction of a cattle grid to a road in Dontozidon area.
4. Earth road Babagon/Kolosunan
5. Bridle path Babagon to Buayan
Buildings.
1. Bangunan Pasar in Kasigui
2. Bangunan Pasar in Donggongon
3. Classroom blocks for SK Likas
4. Classroom blocks for SK Petagas
3. Classroom blocks for SKTansau
6. Classroom blocks for SK Tombovo
7. Classroom blocks for SK Sugud
8. Classroom blocks for SRKKolopis
9. Classroom blocks for SK Moyog
10.Classroom blocks for SK Terian
11.Classroom blocks for SK Buayan
11.Classroom blocks for SK Long-
     kogungan
12.supply of asbestos louvers window
     Leaves for SMK St Michael's
     Penampang
13. Classroom blocks for SK Puuntuno Penampang
Suspension Bridges
1. Across Babagon river at kg Babagon
2. Across Babagon river at Kapur
3. Across Moyog river at Babagon
4. Across Moyog river at Kakaangan
5. Across Papar river at Buayan
6. Across Petagas river at kg Tanaki
The itemization of the above projects thus executed is done by grace and recall of memory and its truth is estimated to be as close to 95% in order
to truth and they are by no means according to chronological order to timing and award of works order..

Kampung NOTORUSS

NOTORUSS is an acronym for the names of a few smaller kampungs clustered together. The kampung leaders and elders in their farsightedness and for the purpose of unity enhancement came up with the idea of a common kg name for the clustered kgs a couple of decades ago. The different kg names are NOunggon, TOlungan, RUgading, Sosopon and Sangaisangai. The different kg names are still in existence as they are still referred to for any specific references. And again, since those kampung names have been established from times immemorial they should not be wiped out, so to speak, unceremoniously! Who knows there might well have been a native or localized ceremony in establishing each of the kg names. This uniting kampung name is referring to the big pictures, socially and politically, and the individual names are still very much respected.
The emergence of the JKKK and the bounce and jurisdictions of the rims and limits of the spheres of the Ketua Kampung have been conveniently facilitated by the introduction of this so called 'Uniry Kg Name'. A single Ketua Kampung to marshall, so to speak, the quit a vast area is sufficiently adequate.

Salted Tilapia

Sun-dried salted tilapia is a speciality of many Tintapian palettes. Its preparation is simple and quite basic regarding cleanliness.
They would be submerged in salted water overnight.
Drain the dripping pieces before they are put in the hot sun to dry. This is the natural and well-beaten method used even perhaps during prehistoric era.
Flies and even blue bottles will be attracted to perch on the juicy flesh. Be initiative in scaring those intruders!

Surprising ?

Some people can find much pleasures scheming and planning a surprise for others. They go way out of their ways, so to speak, to ensure thatctheir plans work. Other onhearers or standers by readily co'operate by maintaining silence pertaining to the matter so as to ensure the plan works. Entwine in the whole scheme processes is the element of secrecy which the schemers ensure void of hurts to all parties especially to themselves and to others. These scheming characteristics seem innate in people but seem not readily present amongst wild or domesticated animals.

I was subjected to such surprise during the last sixth of he first month of 2014 !

A Visit From The Vinoun Films Crews

As the name indicates, Vinoun Films, it must be expressly rather than simply impliedly involved in the making of film pictures for defined purposes. It was therefore arranged much earlier by Janice, one of the crew members, that the filming team would visit Tintap Daton Ngawi' Fishfarm to film a few Kadazandusun processes of food preparations. There was also the filming of a reminiscing of the early schooling years of an auntie who is now in her ealry 70s in 2012. Memories of Secondary School schooling more than half a century ago must be a nostalgic call to memory!
Joe obliged his niece, Janice, with demonstrations of the processes of preparing a Fish Nonsom and a Meat Nonsom; Mathew, with the processes of preparing a Pinaasakan Sada and Hinava Sada; Alice, with Hinava Bavang Tagaas
and Tinumis Losun, and, Datin Seri Panglima Celestina Jinu with her early schooldays reminiscence.
The whole crew were on their toes, so to speak, from mid morning to mid afternoon, with lunch in between. With the exception of nonsom fish the other food which preparations were demonstrated any other types were served. The crew had also pre-ordered food from Ching Fah, Donggongon. Such was a wise decision since a few of them could only take halal food.
The Kadazandusun concept of food is that it is respected and not to be wasted. It is taboo to throw a lump of rice to the ground and to pour out a half plate of rice into the dustbin is literally throwing food away. On seeing the excesses of food that day I shiver with fear that much food would be wasted. I remember elders in my younger days teaching me rather than instilling fear in me that the Spirit of the Rice can pass a curse of 'Bologoson'. Aha! That's the topic of a future Posts.

An Informed Fish-culture Experiment

It is expounded as an experiment because it is done in Tintap, very far away from where it has been successfully tried and popularised - popularised as a dining table dish!

Before and until now, Ikan Kaloi has always been referred to as Ikan Perhiasan or ornamental fish. But fish breeders in some parts of Indonesia must have thought of some practical economical bright ideas. This bright economic idea is slowly spread throughout the region by way of Courses, Seminars and Food Promotions. By way of official Socio-economic Exports, so to say, this bright ideas have reached the shore

of Sabah, Malaysia. The core of this idea is spread to a number of small and medium scale fish farm breeders by one of the pioneers of this spread, a high ranking officer of the Department of Fisheries, Sabah, Encik Samy.

Tintap Freshwater Fish Farm is responding to this Experiment by isolating the Kaloi from the other types of fish from a pond, making sure that the ratio number of female to male is reasonably acceptable even by sheer simple reckoning. The males have hump heads while the females are prettier. They can also be differentiated by the length of their under-body fins. When they are grown-up already, so to speak, ready to mate, they could be given the facilities of a supply of grass - long grass - for them to make their nests. If it was possible, they could even be helped with the supply of a few galanjang-like pupuuvan for them to put in their grass nests. The next thing expected of them is to lay their fertilised eggs, attaching them to the clumped grass. It will then be wise for the breeders and tenderers to carefully lift the grass clumps together with the attached eggs and transfer them onto another containers, the like of big basins, so as to allow the eggs to hatch at ease and without any undue disturbances. The next expected development would be the appearance of wriggles - the sign of life in the Ikan
Kaloi fries. They would stay in that hatcheries for quite a while before they go to their own pond.

The grown Kaloi can be marketed as life ornamental fish, life or still wet fish for food or dish-prepared and ready eateries serving. They can be prepared in plain curry fish, sweet-sour fish with generous lemak, asam-pedas fish or simply fish-stew in sweet beans and tamarind. Another serving suggestion is to grill the fish and to be taken with a variety of chilli and sour sauce. All the suggested preparations are best taken with rice.d

Daton Ngawi' Freshwater Fishfarm at Kampung Tintap will organise its first-ever Kaloi Dish promotion comes early 2013.

It is only too wise to insert an addendum of disclaimer especially when such an experiment has not been run yet. Those outcome of the yet to be launched experiments as a whole are purely anticipations and fantasies of an eager mind which wish to do some progressions in such field. Any unworkable segments of such narratives are purely wishful thinking.

Milo at Tintapfarm

It was Tirid and Sadam who sat with Milo in the mid cabin of Arista. That was way back in 2010. Milo was heading for Tintapfarm, a more spacious roaming ground in a country setting. Although I could visualize what was in store for me ahead in as far as volunteering to take care if Milo is concerned I did not mind as I am helping two parties, the animal and the supposed to be owners.
When he arrived at Tintapfarm he seemed to fit well to all the facilities and available peripherals, natural and man made. He threw around his weights literally. He is big in size, almost three or four times that of the locals, the original residents of Tintapfarm. There were 13 of them and they did not fear the newly arrived giant. They have the number!
To manage people is easier than to democratically manage animals, and for that matter, dogs! Milo attacked and savagely killed three of f
my younger originals. A little bit of me died with each one as they passed on to their next animal world. Milo was then more of a problem than anything else. Had I tried to shoot Milo? No...
Milo respond to any animal sound by its determination to attack and devour. During that year and years previously I had not less than 150 assorted chickens roaming the immediate ground of Tintapfarm house. Now, all of them have been devoured by this Milo of a dog! Did I shoot ...shotgunned...Milo? No....
In recent times, as recently as in late March, 2012, some new developments cropped up...stemming from the, you-know-who, vanity. Maybe she likes to be acclaimed by others as generous even at the point of parting with something she values. Never mind! This is a theory actually.
She entertained and spread a jokingly enunciated rumour that I was going to shoot Milo and before that happened they (the group of ten motorcycles) could come and fetched the giant for samluk! I had to think fast! and fast enough, something had to happen to save an otherwise ugly situation.

Dolly asked me for a dog to replace his own which died of old age. I gave Gompurak, Songguli's sister. It was a gentleman's request met with a gentleman's gift. Gompurak was transported to Rugading on a motor cycle... The man, the rider and the animal pillion! He has actually asked for Milo for he also got the spillover of the youknowho's spread rumour. I said, no...lah.
Gompurak was like a patung! Words coming back from Dolly! I told him to give him a little time to adapt to his new surroundings. It was during this time that words were received that those ten motorbike riders wanted to come to take Milo away...any time, any day. With the you-know-who vain kindness to the group of ten young bikers, Milo is in great danger.
That morning Dolly happened to be at Sadam's house, stoping a while on coming downhill from the morning Good Friday stations of the cross. He said, according to Sadam, he really wants Milo for "he nanti saying". He knows what he's talking about. But with his size he needs transportation to Rugading. The youknowwho assessed the situation and wanted to volunteer to send using arista. I was waiting for some people to come for fishfries that morning, but still I was not happy she were to drive arista. There were too many instances where she would do the unimaginable so as to get attention! So for a fleeting ride to Rugading I sent Milo, animal and Sadam in the truck! Milo is saved. Gompurak and Milo are both save with Dolly. Although they are not with me my greatest consolation is that they are still alive, loved and taken care off.

Songguli

'Songguli' is a Kadazan naming word which can only be used as such if there were incidences attached to it. 'Guli' the Dusunic tone, or, 'Guhi' the more Tangara tone, is an action word denoting the act of returning or homecoming. Songguli therefore refers to one who has been sent over but out of sheer ingenuity returned home to simply fulfill one's wish. Songguli is a name given to a female kampung K9.
She is beautiful assessing by her looks and fluffy cream-colored hair.
She has a brother and two sisters. The brother is Jonjongot, one sister is Gompurak while the other sister, peace be upon her spirit, need not be further remembered.
Suffice it is to note how this little blighter met her end as a little bit of me died with her! Out of pride and pure vanity, she, you-know-who, announced that she has three young dogs to give away which are good for samluk. I surely have overheard this open announcement but out of respect for her and especially to myself I did not readily react because there was a crowd after the morning Sunday Service. I simply hoped that something would happen to deter the inevitable to happen....but like clockwork, what had to happen had to happen! Soon after we reached home from the Chapel, not less that ten young men all on ten motorcycles came to collect my three female K9s. She continued her offer of the dogs. Sadam was around as I have asked him to come for a cup of coffee. He seemed to have read my feelings and tolerated the rowdy situations for a bit. The dogs must also have wondered why they are being given away by someone they almost do not know. They therefore did there best to run and hide away. The intruder manage to catch the unlucky female and bundled her in a sacklike container. When they persisted to capture more then that was the time when Sadam shouted that they come another time. They all left.
Sadam stayed over until it was late afternoon. Two of the motorbike riders came back to collect the two leftover dogs. Sadam told them to go back and leave the dogs to grow bigger still. Those friends of his listened to him and that was how the three dogs are spared until this very instant. The generous-pretender giver of dogs by that time, and as usual, had already gone home to her own house.

Making sure that the dogs are fed is no easy task for me....they are my sole responsibility....I find myself spending a few hundred Ringgit on minced meet. chicken neck, chicken bones from Singapore chicken rice outlets in Karamunsing, sisa-sisa of pork from Francisca outlet in Donggongon.
On medicine alone, for dogs' wound and tick injections, there could be again some hundreds here. I had at one time bought RM130.00 for tick injections in one go....considering I had at that time 13 dogs and RM10.00 per tick injection for each dog.

Songguli is now tied down. Gomimin complained that she devours her chickens. I cannot refute that. My own chickens have all been devoured by a team of them. I have therefore taken steps to chain-tie Songguli and her brother, Jonjongot.

What A Dream!

A distant grandniece who partook in the observation of the Wake Vigil of her 'mamatua' had a strange dream later that same night in her own house. In her awkward state of strange anxiety on waking up in the night she rang her mother narrating to her the dream that bothered her to the core of her entire imaginations.
There were eight of them siblings. The eldest, by rough calculation in 2012, passed away some 20 years ago. Two brothers passed on in 2011 and again, two, a brother and a sister, in 2012. The last to go, care-freelily speaking but not without reverence for parents and elderlies, was the only sister, the youngest, Stephanie Winnie. A brother to them all in his youthful years had left Penampang for Sandakan in the hope of looking for greener pastures, so to speak. A travel to Sandakan during thosev no-no years must have been arduous on the sea going Marudu vessel. It was not known as to how long since he had left home before words of his death was sent home by words of mouth. The facility of hand phone was unheard of in those days for sure.
The grandniece, the youngest of the sibling group who
do not assume the surname, Kinajil, dreamt that the dead 'mamatua' rose up from her coffin crying loudly and expressing regrets that all her children are not at ease with each other, to least interpret her cry of regrets.
On hearing such fear from her daughter the mother must have comforted her and, as she said, told her give her Mass Offerings. The mother also wants to narrate such dream to one of her aunties so that this young grandniece could be arranged given a taste of salt according to the Kadazan Custom. Featured most in her dream, according to her, was her son's wife, who, it was said, was the last person giving her mother-inlaw her liquid breakfast.

He is Great!

Everyday is a set-apart day as God the Creator created His special creation on each particular day. On the seventh day He rested, metaphorically speaking. He does not rest. 1st April, 20eleven, was indeed another of God's special day. It was a Friday, by world's tagging. It was further tagged as April Fool and it was wedged somewhere in the middle of Lent time. The Chapel of the Risen Christ in kampung Manansawong is thronged by about less than 100 Catholics every Sunday for a Sunday Service without a priest. Rarely does a priest gets to come around. On that particular day, the rainy days seemed to have ended for the sun was bright till late in the day. A few of the Sunday regulars came for the Stations of the Cross which started at 7.30 in the evening. I did not bother to entertain the nurturing tendency of the 'age excuse' for I know I would be able to reach Kristus Nokotugag Chapel while sitting down, so to speak. I drove alone. I was the 2ndlast to arrive. The Chapel Chairman and family, the last. When the set service for the Stations of the Cross was over, like a good group, there were discussions pertaining to the goings-on of the Parish and Zone. Some announcements were made and time was not wasted unnecessarily. Then the rain poured down in torrents, literally in torrents! The sound it made on the zinc roof was barely bearable. The twenty plus or so poured out, some forgetting to make their bow to the alter as they left their pews. They wanted to leave for home but the rain was a preventing factor. In the midst of the zinc roof-rain din I was able to talk and congratulate one Myron on his 2010 SPM achievements. He told me that he managed an encouraging 5As from the 10 subjects norm he took. He shared that he might be doing Matriculation in Labuan. Nevertheless, he asked about his possibility of doing the Form Six. My immediate reaction was to discourage him attempting Form Six citing a two-years time wasting as a reason. Due to that bothering din I did not go any further to deter him from thinking further on that possibility. I could have enumerated a few deterring factors should he need convincing. It was obvious he did not. The rain considerably slowed down as if to allow people the chance to dash home. I was the first taker considering that there was no one home. Some people requested for a ride in my Arista. They used to get lifts before. There were six people in all and Kumbid was with me in the front. It was barely 60 yards traveled when the rain and wind started again, heavier than before and coupled by the wind. The rain was a sheet of pouring canvas in front of me. It was quite manageable. When we came to the part where the road gradient was exceptionally steep, I encountered some problem for the mist was too thick at that steep stretch. At hindsight I could have stopped and waited for an allowance of some sort from the mist and rain. It did not occur on me to do just that. The natural tendency was to proceed up the steep gradient. My light was on high. No good! I could not well see. Everyone was helping me keep to the road. Once I missed the center of the road and a few of the passengers swallowed hard. Arista made a screeching sound denoting efforts to climb up from a fall. I was unable to see the road literally. Some of the passengers who might not have been at prayers at that particular instance were volunteering to direct me and telling me I was doing fine. Then as if spirit-led I flickered the light to dip. Everything changed. The road was then in good view despite of the thick mist. I continued the climb effortlessly and continued the journey downhill without any reference to that trial encountered earlier. The six rushed out and ran in the rain as they reached their house. Everyone must have learned a lesson or reflected on a divine message concerning that evening. What was prominently featuring in my mind as I reflect on the experience I encountered when I lost my bearing and my senses impaired and acutely compromised during that steep uphill drive was the scriptural text from somewhere I should be able to but I cannot locate nor properly quote, "..if God is on your side what else can go against you.." or something like that. I was aware of some unseen evil force at work on my very being. As I retired that night I once more thanked Jesus for His saving hands.

KAN EMMANUEL TANGIT KINAJIL, ADK.BSK.

KAN Emmanuel Tangit Kinajil was born on 18th October, 1918 in Penampang, Sabah. His parents, Gothlib Kinajil bin Motungkas and Nonita Siatang, were both of the Kadazandusun stock. He was born second in a family of five brother and one sister. He started his early primary schooling at St. Michael's School, Penampang, during the pre-world war II years, completing only Standard Three. Amongst the school teachers he had had the privilege to meet and be taught by were Encik Sulaiman, Encik John Goyopong, Rev. Fr. Anthoneson and Encik Samuel Majalang, to name but some.Prior to his leaving for Brunei to seek for employment with the Brunei Shell Petroleum, he had had a stint in the Kadazandusun traditional padi farming. When he was then under the employment of the BSP, he managed to save a considerable amount of money. He therefore headed for home after only three years being away. He continued to be a good farm help to his parent on his return home. He married beforethe WW2 broke out. After the war, he sought employment with the Harrison's & Crossfield inJesselton, and was successful ingaining the position of an Assistant Store Keeper, with one Mr. Fung as his immediate superior. He stayed in that employment for many years. In the early 1950s the Penampang District Officer, Mr. Pascho, formed his entourage to visit the far reaches and rims of the Penampang District. Those places included Kampung Tampasak, Kampung Tolungan, Kampung Babagon, Kampung Ponombiran, Kampung DSangai-Sangai and scores other Kampungs nearby. OKK Tan Ping Hing of the Penampang Native Court figured well in that entourage. He insisted taking along in that entourage one Emmanuel Tangit Kinajil, a relatively less known kampung icon at that time. But, OKK Tan Ping Hing saw great potential in that man. It was much said, especially in years later, that it was during this Penampang District Officer's official visit to Kampung Babagon that Emmanuel Tangit Kinajil was interview and appointed as the Orang Tua (Ketua Kampung) of Kampung Babagon and other kampungs around with OKK Tan Ping Hing's full recommendations. As a Ketua Kampung one of the early efforts which KK Emmanuel Tangit Kinajil initiated for the benefits of the kampung people and future generation of the area was the establishment of the Tolungan Native and Grazing Reserve which area was in the region of 315 acres. Another significant effort which he had established was a kampung vernacular school with the hope that the youing people at that time could read and write the Kadazan/Dusun language. The Native Voluntary School, Babagon, which initial medium of instruction was the Kadazan/Dusun Language, was actually one of three Kadazan/Dusun schools willfully established by like visionaries. Coincidently, all the three schools were built in the Penampang District. All three schools were later absorbed into the mainstream educational institution of modern times. He said that he had also teamed up with the then Tambunan community pressure group in asking the colonial Government of the time to initiate the construction of the Penampang-Tambunan Road. Later, when the Penampang-Tambunan earth road was initially constructed, he found himself a successful player in that he managed to obtain contract work portions in making the earth road.In later years, as the Ketua Kampung of Kampung Babagon and other kampungs surrounding and as the founder Branch Chairman of the political party that he belonged, he was selected to stand as an UNKO candidate against a PASOK MOMOGUN candidate in the first-ever direct election for the members of the Kota Kinabalu Rural District Council, in Penampang. He won and he occupied the seat in the Council for many years. As a Councilor he found himself talking for the less privileged areas of the Penampang District, the like of Kampung Babagon, Kampung Tampasak, Kampung Kolosunan, kampungs along the Penampang-Tambunan Road, up to Mile 32, to kampungs all the way downhill to Kampung Longkogungan, Kampung Buayan, Kampung Terian, Kampung Timpango (Babagon), Kampung Tintap and Kampung Manansawong, to mention but the major kampungs only. He, in stages, requested for a school built in the then Kampung Tampasak, Kampung Moyog, Kampung Terian, Kampung Buayan and Kampung Longkogungan. The establishments of those schools were realized during his tenure as the elected Councilor of the KKRD Council, later named the Penampang District Council. He had also requested a school built in Kampung Togudon, That school was only realized much later when the school in Kampung Tampasak was closed down due to the displacement effect of the Babagon Dam. The established school name was literally transferred to Kampung Togudon.During the BERJAYA Government, KK Emmanuel Tangit Kinajil was promoted to become a Ketua Anak Negeri for the Penampang Native Court. He performed the many disciplines of the work of a Ketua Anak Negeri in team with other Ketua Anak Negeri and yet under the overview of a District Chief until he attained the compulsory retirement age.He is presently doing his 94th year and attaining his 95 in October, 2011.

TWENTY11 did come following 20TEN afterall !

Yes, Indeed...20TEN, the 7th time-length count by some mortals, naturally slipping across the finish time-line, so to speak, at twelve midnight last 31st December, and was automatically and smoothly followed by, the yet always-ticking to the finish 7th time-count, TWENTY11.

Milo at Tintap

Last Monday morning, before seven it was, I found out that he was missing. I announced my find to CMK, his good friend. She clearly displayed her fear of the unknown. She went around the house calling his name. The shrill of her voice might have been loud enough for dog's hearing further than a hundred meters away. After a while I thought her voice was slowly going to crack. Suddenly the love-call roughened and changed. I turned to see cause. Galloping home fast were Obam and Milo, Milo leading Obam at neck-length. The verbal scolding, in English, poured onto Milo, sometimes vented onto Obam. Their breakfast that morning was not worth the scolding they receive, so to speak. They are presently both contenders to be a top-dog at Tintap. It was found out later that they both came from a neighbor's house whose four-legged female happened to be mengawan.

Mr & Mrs Joe Tangit and Family

Joe Tangit and Francesca Chin, who are both in their 60s this year, twenty10, would be celebrating their forty-fourth wedding anniversary on 20th November. It was on such a rare ocation, though well ahead of 20/11, that all the members of the yet so-far gang, their 4 children, son and daughters in-law, together with their 4 grandsons, were gathered in Sabah in September, and, on September 11, for this natural pose at the Tanjung Aru Beach. Terrance and Violet with their sons, Jonathan, Jerold and Julius, are from Singapore; Trixie and Wendel with their son, Kimo, are temporarily home from Australia; Tania, on a short planned leave from her Pensyarah work in UiTM Malacca, and, Trevor and Jennifer, being in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The youngest member in the photograph is a 4-yearer while the oldest is a 66-coming-67 yearer! Would you be able to guess who they are? Your guess could be as good as anybody else's.

Whose Car is Most Likely to be the next?

Do we have to be reminded of a thing like this?

From the Land Below The Wind to the Land Down Under.

It may be the largest gathering of Kadazans and others, mostly of the Jinu & Tangit Kinajil clans and associates, from Sabah, making it to Adelaide, Australia, for days before and after 17th April, 2010. They respond to Fenella's and Aaron's Australia Wedding Invitation.

TWENTY11 did indeed come for me following 20TEN

It was incredible, quite overwhelming, I mean, the social, financial, and even spiritual situations I found myself in at that time. I realized I had just taken the road bend and had just started walking down the Sixty Seventh Street, figuratively speaking. I found myself thinking hard, reverting every strain of thoughts I could muster to God. I have always thought that He is Love, He is Kindness, He is Miraculous, He is everything heavenly and earthly positive for He is God. With this core realization of God's love, I doubly confirmed my trust and hope in Him. But, I still remembered what someone had once told me that I have a suicidal tendency. It was relatively recent that pressure could not be tolerated. It was during those trying times, too, that the numerous pressures of different sizes and shapes snow-balled into a few gigantic ones. I wondered where they could be leading me to. Those are 'knots' of the 20TEN brought forward to TWENTY11. They should be loosened fast. Time, in itself and for me, gathers tight knots all along the pathway of life.

supports in action

When I was the Chairman of the Babagon Parish Council (the previous Penampang Parish Council's set ups) in the 70s and beyond, I had good supports from family members and Parish Council friends. These pictures taken during the Centenary Celebration at the Chapel of Saint Peter and Paul, Babagon, are testimonies to such supports. William Joti's support is always noted.
